Elizabeth Hemenway

March 19, 1956 ~ August 20, 2017

Elizabeth Jean Hemenway passed away August 20, 2017, in Bozeman, MT.  She was born March 19, 1956, to Ward Wertman and Barbara Willette (Bates) Hemenway in Shreveport, LA.  She attended Central High in London, England, Fairborn Baker High School in Fairborn, OH, and the Universal School of Life.  Elizabeth also lived in California, Virginia, Colorado and Montana.

She worked in retail, restaurant, administration and was an animal lover extraordinaire.  She was very active in animal welfare events and planning and organizing holiday events.  She especially loved Halloween where she could express her unique persona.  Elizabeth was a professional photographer, loved to garden and enjoyed travelling.

Elizabeth proudly served in the United States Air Force at Lowry AFB in Denver, CO.

She is survived by her parents; daughter, Allison Taylor Hemenway; sisters, Judy Anne Pryor and Brook Hemenway; and brother, Tom Hemenway.

A celebration of her life will be held May of 2018 in Missoula, MT.

"Words cannot express our thanks and appreciation for all you did for the service and for the family.  No matter how busy you all were during that time, you always made us feel like we were #1 on the list!  All of the special touches you helped us with made the service and our struggles much easier to deal with.  Again, our heartfelt thanks."
