Ellen Cerovski

April 25, 1957 ~ September 28, 2017

Service: October 08, 2017 3:00 P.M.
Location: Belgrade Holiday Inn Express Conference Room

Ellen Marie Cerovski; daughter of Theodore L. and Irene M. Dirkson. Born April 25, 1957 and went to be with her Lord in Heaven on September 28, 2017.

She spent her youth and elementary school years living in the Hobson, MT area on the family’s ranch. In 1969 the family moved to Lewistown where she lived and completed her education. During her years in high school and after she graduated she was always one who worked hard, whether with her parents on the family ranch, at the feedlot or livestock auction sale house or her fulltime job at the Mini-Mart corner grocery store. She always had a smile, kind words and a friendly conversation to all she met and interacted with.

She married her high school sweetheart, Donald S. Cerovski on March 20, 1981 in Lewistown, MT where she continued to work several jobs outside the home while still creating time to assist her husband and Brother-in-law in their truck repair business. Later-on her husband’s business expanded to a second location in Belgrade, MT where Ellen and her Husband Don and two young children moved to in 1993. She very quickly established more lifelong friends who loved her wit, charm and humor.

She dedicated her life to her family which where most importantly her children; Son Kyle Cerovski and Daughter and Son-in-law Kelli and Cody Tarver. She was always one who was cooking, tending to the garden and yard, garage sales and antiquing. She was always on the lookout for that bargain deal and the thing she most found pleasure in was taking care of her children and family, that there was food and treats to munch on and a place that felt like home. She was always giving her family’s needs and desires more importance than her own. Those that new her well understood that everything had its place around the house, garage or were ever she was working at and that you shouldn’t have to be told to put in away or back where it came from when you were done using it. Her infamous words to her family and friends, “Did you wash that before you put it away?”

She spent many hours and days traveling around the State of Montana and across North America with her husband attending and participating in towing and tow truck related shows and conventions and her husband’s work-related training engagements as well as, Masonic related activities of York Rite, Shrine, Scottish Rite and the many other Masonic Bodies her husband was associated with. As a Grand Lodge of Montana Lady and later serving as the Grand Master Wife, she was there to aid and assist with all the activities, responsibilities and duties required of her to the entire Masonic Family and feeling embarrassed when she was recognized for those efforts. In all these activities she was first in and last out in tending to hospitality, setup and greeting attendees of activities and any help she could offer the many Ladies she interacted with, who became her dear friends.

She is proceeded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband Donald S. Cerovski, son Kyle T. Cerovski (Chase Duval), daughter Kelli (Cody) Tarver all of Belgrade, MT. Parents Theodore T. and Irene M. Dirkson, mother-in law Louise Cerovski, brother-in law Gregory T. Cerovski of Lewistown, MT. Brother Randy (Diane) Dirkson of Glasgow, MT. Sister Sherry (Ron) Halquist of Hobson, MT.  Brother-in law Stuart A. Cerovski of Lander, WY. Numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. She loved by many and will be missed by all.

A Celebration of Life will take place 3:00 PM, Sunday Oct. 8, 2017 in the Conference Center of the Holiday Inn Express, 309 W. Madison Ave., Belgrade, MT. Internment in days to follow at Philbrook Cemetery in Hobson, MT.

Donation can be made in her name to any of the following: Shrine Hospital in Spokane, WA, (RARA) Royal Arch Research Assistance Program, (CMMRF) Cryptic Mason Medical Research Foundation, Knights Templar Eye Foundation, Scottish Rite – Rite Care Program, Montana Tow Truck Association – Survivor Fund, Towing and Recovery Professionals of Colorado – Widows and Orphans Fund or a Charity of your choice.
