Joan E. Butler in Paris 2016

Born on May 18, 1926.

A woman of wisdom, kindness, and love.

Joined the Lord on October 19, 2017.

She is survived by her son, Paul; daughter, Barbara; granddaughters, Sandi and McKenna; great grandchildren, Brooke and Zack; step-son, Jim; step-grandchildren, Jessie and Cassie; and many wonderful friends.

This was a letter Paul received from his daughter describing Joan perfectly.

“Grandma was strong and independent as she had been for so many years.  Grandma was an amazing person, a truly wonderful lady.  A role model in her own way. A very influential, charismatic, and sharp woman.  Even in 2017 she still had it.”

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, October 27 at the Crossroads Church at Four Corners (111 Arrowhead Trail).  Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in the Laurel Cemetery in Laurel, Montana.
