Glenn Sorenson

June 13, 1940 ~ December 18, 2017

Glenn H. Sorenson was born in Billings, MT, June 13, 1940. He unexpectedly died at home in Bozeman, MT, on December 18, 2017.

He graduated from Billings Senior where he excelled in football and American Legion Baseball. He attended the University of Montana on a football scholarship. He continued tormenting his Bobcat friends throughout his life. His competitive nature kept him involved in team and individual activities until health issues interfered.

He married Barbara Ziegler on August 7, 1968, in Cody, WY. He began working for State Farm in the early 70’s as an insurance investigator, retiring in 1995. In 2015, his daughter came into his life. He established a strong bond with her and her family of the past two years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara; sister-in-law, Janet (AL) Halvor; daughter, Anne (Kevin) Sweeney; and three grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Sorenson; mother, Ruth Sorenson Rugg; and in-laws, Harriet and Bill Ziegler.

A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

"One of the most important components of this stressful time were the services you provided and the smooth operation that ensued.  We can sincerely say that your services were absolutely top-notch and we feel that things simply could not have gone better.  The professionalism and experience of your staff was clear and it extended to every person we dealt with.  We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts."
