Dr. Albina (Abbie) Claps-Paglia passed away on January 5, 2018 at the age of 95 of natural causes.

During her internship and residency in Pediatrics at Lenox Hill Hospital, she met her husband, Michael Paglia MD and they were married in May of 1956.  Dr. Claps then completed a Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at NYU Bellevue, under the tutelage of Dr. Janet Baldwin.  For the next 35 years she continued as attending cardiologist at Bellevue, while also serving as Chairperson of the Pediatric Department of St. Vincent’s Hospital (Staten Island, NY), training residents to be future pediatricians.

In October of 2016, for health reasons, Dr Claps and her husband moved to Aspen Pointe in Bozeman, Montana to be near their daughter, Susan.

"We greatly appreciate your help with the service.  Rachelle, your guidance and thoughtfulness made difficult decisions easier and helped to personalize the service.  Marilyn, you went above and beyond, securing an ideal reception location and helping throughout the luncheon.  T.J., thank you for your help during the service and the transition to the reception.  The DVD of photos & music will be loved for years to come.  We were all very pleased with dad's service and know we couldn't have done it without your help."
