Larry Houser

April 12, 1943 ~ October 27, 2018

Service: November 10, 2018 10:30 AM
Location: Christ the King Lutheran Church

Larry M. Houser, 75, of Bozeman, MT, passed away October 27, 2018.

Larry was born April 12, 1943, in Peoria, IL, to Robert and Virginia (Botorf) Houser. He attended high school at Ranch High School in Las Vegas where he excelled at basketball.

Larry lived in Colorado Springs, CO, Lander, WY, Hollister, CA, and Salinas, CA, where he met Janet Rogers. In 1984 Larry and Janet moved to Bozeman, MT.

Larry and Janet were married on July 12, 1985.

A consummate salesman, Larry owned Culligan Water from 1984 until his retirement in 2002. Over his career he received several top salesman awards.

Larry was an active Bobcat Booster and enjoyed woodworking and made beautiful furniture. He was an avid golfer at Valley View Golf Course and was a friend to many. Larry was never a stranger to anyone. His biggest passion was his family, especially family get-togethers where he loved telling jokes.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Michelle (Thomas) Wolfe, Bonnie (Jeff) Webb, and Lisa Patterson; and sons, Todd (Kathy) Houser and Mark (Jennifer) Houser. He is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Robert Houser and Richard Houser; and sister, Marilyn.

The family would like to thank Thomas Hildner, M.D. and his staff as well as all the departments of Bridger Healthcare Community for all their exceptional care. The family would also like to thank Larry’s fellow resident, Carl, who was a wonderful friend and advocate.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, November 10 at Christ The King Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m.
