Jerry Kober

August 30, 1943 ~ October 30, 2018

Don’t think of him as gone away
his journey’s just begun,
life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of him as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how he must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of him as living
in the hearts of those he touched…
for nothing loved is ever lost
and he was loved so much.
-Ellen Brenneman

Our beloved husband, dad, and grandpa, Jerry Kober, died on October 30, 2018.  He was born to Harold and Ellen (Wortman) Kober on August 30, 1943.

He married Doris Secora on July 20, 1963 at Hope Lutheran Church in Bozeman.

His entire lifetime was spent in the Gallatin Valley.  Much time was spent camping, fishing, and endless hours at Bridger Bowl with his family.  He was a member of the Montana National Guard for eight years.  Jerry will be remembered for his old-school politeness, his gentle strength, love of family and home, and his incredible will to live.

He is survived by his wife, Doris; daughter, Brenda (Dan) Baker; son-in-law, Earle Adams; grandsons, Jacob, Elijah, and Ian Baker; granddaughters, Olivia, Serena, and Gabriella Adams; brothers, Harold and Ben; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angie Kober Adams; an infant daughter; parents, Harold and Ellen Kober; and in-laws, Lyman and Marie Secora.

Our thanks and gratitude go out to Dr. John Robbins, Dr. Justin Thomas, the wonderful team at the Cancer Center, and the dedicated professionals at Hospice of Bozeman Health.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.  www.dokkennelson.com
