Cremation Options

Cremation is an alternative to full burial, and you will be asked whether you want the cremated remains buried, entombed, placed in a niche, scattered, or kept at home. The cremation of the body can occur before the ceremony of life recognition or afterwards. With cremation you have the opportunity for public or private viewing. Because we own and operate our own crematory, you also have the opportunity to gather at the crematory and witness the cremation process.

When you choose cremation, some commonly selected services are:

Full-Service Ceremony Followed by Cremation

The decedent is present, giving family and friends the opportunity for viewing and saying goodbye.  Once the viewing and ceremony have taken place, the cremation is performed.

Cremation With a Life Celebration

Also known as a “family-designed” farewell, the funeral home staff assists the family in arranging a highly personal way of saying goodbye that reflects the uniqueness of the decedent. Often, personal memorabilia of the decedent is displayed and selected speakers share their own life memories and experiences of the decedent.

Cremation with a Memorial Ceremony

The decedent is not present, cremation takes place before the ceremony. Private or public viewing can be arranged to meet family needs prior to cremation.

Cremation with No Ceremony

The cremation is scheduled at the earliest convenience of the family without any ceremony, gathering, or act of recognition. Viewing of your loved one is still available with this option.

For those family members wishing to keep a portion of the cremated remains, small urns called “keepsake” urns and jewelry are available at our office.

"Thank you for your caring and efficient service on the death of my husband.  I appreciated your handling of the necessary, but tedious paperwork that accompanies every death.  It was a relief to me to leave those details in your capable hands."
