Online Condolences for Gary Long ( January 16, 1943 ~ May 06, 2018)

May 30, 2018
Dear Long Family, We are sending you our condolences on Gary's passing. What an incredible life he led! Thank you for posting his obituary in the Seattle Times. We wanted to share some special memories: Gary and his family lived next door to our McCullough family on Illinois Street in Bellingham when he was growing up. They were great neighbors. We especially fondly remember his Mother Rita and her cardiac struggles and how sad that was for her family. Tom remembers when Gary returned to Bellingham High to finish school after being in the Navy joining Dale who also was a student at BHS then. Tom often recounts a favorite story: The kids at BHS heard Gary was a trained underwater diver and some also heard he was a trained boxer. One night three local bullies decided to meet Gary in an alley and show him who was in charge. All three bullies ended up having to go to the hospital! Gary came to school the next day without a scratch! Fifty-plus years later Gary still has Hero Status with his BHS classmates! Fondly, Bev McCullough Tom Dickinson BHS Class of "65 — Bev McCullough (Vashon Island, WA)

"Thank you for the wonderful care you took of my mother, father, and the whole family throughout her funeral process.  The service was beautiful, as was the video.  Thank you for allowing us to hold the reception there.  It was very comfortable and warm.  We so appreciate your caring, concern, and respect."
