Lynda Hillis Ross, devoted mother, grandmother and friend was welcomed into the Lord’s presence on October 15, 2018, at the age of 78. She was born March 4,1940, in Houston, Texas. Lynda attended Baytown Junior High School and Robert E Lee High School in Baytown, Texas, where she was a member of the Lee Brigadier. She also attended Baylor University. Lynda and her family moved to Montana in 1973. She loved being with her friends and family and would always bring a smile to those she met. Lynda loved music, reading, playing bridge and was a lifelong Episcopalian. She had a zest for life and all things beautiful and interesting - music, gardening, travelling, art, books, tennis, good friends and family. Lynda had a passion for volunteering at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Yellowstone Art Museum and St. Vincent’s Hospital.

Lynda was preceded in death by her parents, Braden and Margery Hillis; and brother, Edward McCormac Spencer. She is survived by her brother, Charles Hillis and his wife Dotty; her sons, Chris Ross and wife Tena; Kevin Ross and wife Jennifer; Dave Ross and wife Melissa; her grandkids, Daniel Ross and wife Lindsey; Michael Ross; Abby Ross; Gage Ross; and great-granddaughter, Eloise Ross.

The family would like to thank all those who cared for Lynda over the years, especially those at Bozeman Lodge and Highgate Senior Living.

A memorial service celebrating Lynda’s life will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon at Dokken Nelson Funeral Service, 113 S. Willson Ave., Bozeman, MT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in memory of Lynda be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
